Various Artists: Treme: Music from the HBO Original Series, Season 1

Geffen

One of the most innovative television shows of the past year is Treme, which tracks the lives of several individuals in post-Katrina New Orleans. And one of the most exciting aspects of Treme is the omnipresent music, which spotlights the vast variety of sounds that one might encounter throughout the city—even as it struggles to be reborn. From strolling brass bands to vintage and modern jazz, funky R&B to piano blues, Treme is all about cultural connections, and this 19-track soundtrack, drawn from the program’s first season, offers a joyous cross-section of the city’s enduring traditions. Among the familiar names are Dr. John, Kermit Ruffins, Trombone Shorty and Irma Thomas, but some of the soundtrack’s true treasures come from lesser-known locals.

Alright, why I need these shoes? Of course there are the obivous ones: I WANT them, I LOVE them to the moon and back, they are HOT as and I am a SHOE ADDICT in the body of a low income university student. But the reason I physically, emotionally and utterly need them in my life= I am short. Not that there’s anything wrong with being short but sometimes it gets me down.[ Warning: embarrassing moments ahead].At schoolies someone told me there was a height limit. Proof of ID is always a questioning matter. My little sister has just surpassed my height-and LOVES reminding me. My boyfriend put me up on the bag racks at school once and i couldn’t get down, and in an effort to cheer me up in a not so funny way, he bought me a shirt [photo can be supplied] saying I’m not short, I’m FUNSIZE. Again, short isn’t too bad, but that extra confidence boost you get from a little more height [ which these stunning booties can give me this winter]never hurt anyone. So pick me and save me from a winter season of short’ related embarrassing moments; Support the FUNSIZE!
