“The Forth” as have coined that wonderful night was amazing.Ghost, waste, julius, Mikes song>tela>harpua>killing in the name>harpua>weekapaug groove. Truly Epic. That place went absolutely bonkers during RATM cover. Gamehenge galore and blowouts plentiful. July 4th 2010 is the bees knees!

I thought that Camden Night I was awesome, but Merriweather Night 2 took the cake in terms of insanity. Weird first set with lots of bust outs and fun moments. Second set was one of the most insane, cohesive sets of music I’ve seen Phish play. I Saw It Again and Again and Again and Again.

First Greek show, Aug. 5th, was screaming with super high energy in crowd and band. Safe but punchy and upbeat song selection superbly executed by band and CK5 nailed it. The band were paying their respects to the Dead on their home turf, for Phish’s first major run at the Greek, and they played their a**es off to show it. Also, the touching and phun ‘Languedoc’ thank-you cheer and Trey’s genuine humility and joy (yes!) in playing the Greek were the capper.

It’s AV1 (8/14). First set could’ve been a second set for most 2009 shows. Second set: Sloth opener, DWD> What’s the Use>SOAM, Mike’s groove including Sneakin Sally. Can’t ask for better energy the whole show. Hell, even Bug was hot! AV2 was a close second, as that second set was nearly as spectacular. Deer Creek was the warmup for the madness of Alpine and Jones Beach…Can’t wait to see if they consistently bring it fall tour!

Excellent summer of shows. Greek night 3 the hands down show of the summer. Alpine Valley night 1 a close second. Lots of great Phish, with little filler. A success on all fronts.
