Nobody Beats the Drum

Amsterdam, Netherlands
An Explosive Mix of Disturbing Sounds
www.nobodybeatsthedrum.com
After presenting their beats-and-visual-laden live experience at South by Southwest in 2012, Amsterdam-based electro threesome Nobody Beats the Drum have taken the world by storm one writhing, sweat-covered crowd at a time. This Netherlander trio—composed of Sjam Sjamsoedin, Jori Collignon and Rogier van der Zwaag—prides themselves on high-impact live shows that incorporate custom-made visuals paired perfectly with thunderous anthemic bangers like “Girls Suck” and “Poisson Vert” from their speaker-throbbing debut album Currents. With a visceral sound that combines a fervent mix of hip-hop percussion, electro-fueled energy and a self-described “explosive mix of disturbing sounds,” Nobody Beats the Drum have been working festival-goers into a dancing frenzy at summer sonic gatherings like Ultra, Sasquatch, Electric Forest and Camp Bisco. “The live show is a big part of our game,” explains Collignon en route to the next gig. “The crowds we play for are a big inspiration for us.” These perennially touring beat-mongers have traveled extensively since March and they don’t have any intention of slowing down.
