Zac Brown Band Announce _The Grohl Sessions Volume One_

November 26, 2013

Following their collaboration at the Country Music Awards and the announcement that Grohl would be producing the group’s next record, Zac Brown Band announced The Grohl Sessions Volume One today. The four-track EP that will be available on December 10 via iTunes will feature ZBB with special guest performances from Oteil Burbridge (bass) and Dave Grohl (drums). Along with the song they performed at the CMA’s, “Day for the Dead,” fans will also be treated to a Zac Brown Band version of The Wood Brothers’ “The Muse” as well as ZBB originals “All Alright” and “Let It Rain.”

ZBB issued a brief teaser of the studio sessions, which took place at Nashville’s Southern Ground Studios, the first recording sessions to be held there by the band that operates the record label of the same name. On the band, Grohl says “there is no one like them.” Brown calls Grohl a “genius” and says that this new era for the band will open up their sound.
