Listen: Led Zeppelin Share Unreleased Instrumental Track

by Rob Slater on May 29, 2014

As Led Zeppelin readies the release of the deluxe reissue of their first three albums, the band has shared the unreleased instrumental track "La La" from the Led Zeppelin II sessions in 1969. The reissues, which are due out June 3, will come with a variety of studio outtakes, alternate mixes and instrumental versions of songs from the first three self-titled records.

Other tracks of note include early versions of "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" and "Out on the Tiles" as well as a blues medley of "Key to the Highway" and "Trouble in Mind." Listen to the instrumental "La La" below.

OK, it is obvious why “La La” wan’t released.  Jones is thumping out some tasty beef, but otherwise this sounds like a series of random little guitar riffs pasted together and hung over a rather banal rhythm. Yawn.
