Bill Murray Helped the Cleaning Crew after Fare Thee Well

July 8, 2015

Yesterday we told you about Bill Murray’s time at Fare Thee Well, spending time in Chicago with Phil Lesh, Jenny Lewis and a host of other celebrities that found themselves inside Soldier Field. As it turns out, none went to the lengths that Murray did as according to a Page Six source, Murray hung around long after the show to help the stadium’s cleaning crew.

Murray was one of many notables who attended the run of shows, as John Mayer, Katy Perry, George R.R. Martin, Perry Farrell, Al Franken members of Phish, moe., The Disco Biscuits, The Avett Brothers and many others could also be spotted in the crowd. Of course, Bill Walton was also on hand. The NBA Hall of Famer penned this letter for the official program about his experience with the Grateful Dead and also documented his time in Chicago via Twitter, which saw the former Boston Celtic and Portland Trailblazer snap photos with three members of Phish and many extended members of the Grateful Dead family.
