Beck to Honor Lou Reed, McCartney Will Induct Ringo at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony

This year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class features the likes of Lou Reed, Green Day, Ringo Starr, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bill Withers, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and more. Now, the Rock Hall has revealed some of the performers and inductors for this year’s ceremony.

Among them, Stevie Wonder will induct Bill Withers and Patti Smith will do the honors for the late Lou Reed. Ringo Starr will be inducted by fellow Beatle Paul McCartney and the drummer will also receive the award for musical excellence. John Mayer will induct Stevie Ray Vaughan and The Paul Butterfield Blues Band will be inducted by Peter Wolf.

John Legend and Stevie Wonder will perform for Bill Withers and Beck will honor Lou Reed with a performance. Jimmie Vaughan will be on hand to perform a tribute to his brother, Stevie Ray Vaughan. Starr will lead a jam session centered around “With a Little Help From My Friends” featuring Joe Walsh. Dave Grohl and Tom Morello are also slated to appear, although it is unclear which performance they will be a part of.

HBO will air the ceremony on May 30.
