The Disco Biscuits guitarist Jon Gutwillig’s film BadPuss premiered recently at NYU. The film, billed as “an honest and hilarious look at the music industry through the eyes of an all-girl rock band,” is directed by Emily Wiest, who also played a role in the 2010 dark comedy Devils & Angels. Starring Carrie Keagan, Emily Wiest (who also directed the film), Sydney Lemmon, Hannah Sorenson Huff, Jon Gutwillig and more, the “popumentary” follows an all-female rock band through the trials and tribulations of life in the live music world. Reuniting for their “Daft Moon” tour, the band dives into the depths of rock and roll hell with jealousy, egos and drug overdoses all in play throughout the dark comedy.
