AvettFest Will Debut in June

The Avett Brothers, who appeared on the cover of the July-August issue of Relix, will host their own festival this summer. AvettFest will debut at Somerset, WI’s Somerset Amphitheater on June 29. In addition to the Avetts, the festival will feature Dr. Dog (who graced the Relix cover back in July 2008) Brandi Carlile, Wheeler Brothers and others. Tickets will go on sale March 8 at 10 AM.
Tonight, The Avetts will perform in Oslo, Norway. Grace Potter will open the show with a solo set. Potter appeared with her group, the Nocturnals, on the cover of our December issue (and the Avett Brothers performed at GPN’s Grand Point North festival this summer, so perhaps there will be reciprocity).
