Tom Marshall Shares "Hesitate"
Tom Marshall, Trey Anastasio’s longtime writing partner, continues to create new music on his own as well. One of his latest song is “Hesitate,” recorded by The McLovins. Here is what Tom has to say about the tune, and in particular the new version that he has just shared, below: “This is a song that Anthony Krizan and I wrote with/for the McLovins. I wrote the words with Jake [Huffman] in mind — after a conversation we had — knowing that singing them, he can feel the weird isolation from stage that happens up there…when people expect one thing based on your stage persona…and then are puzzled to find someone different. This version includes some very tasty guitar by Anthony that never made it into the McLovins Who Knows? album version.”
