Premiere: Anders Osborne’s Three Free Amigos Now Streaming on Relix.com

The latest studio recording from Anders Osborne is a six song EP entitled Three Free Amigos. The album is set for release on February 12 but Relix.com is now streaming it in its entirety. Osborne cut Three Free Amigos in his homebase of New Orleans with a few combinations of players. Some songs feature his touring band with bassist Carl Dufrene and drummer Eric Bolivar while others feature such guests as Michael Burkhart (Hammond B3 organ), Johnny Sansone (harmonica and accordion), Billy Iuso (acoustic guitar) and Maggie Koerne (background vocals). Osborne even steps away from guitar to appear on bass and drums for a few songs. As he explains, the loose, improvisational nature of the sessions “is not what I usually do. I may never do it again. I wanted to keep it loose and give fans something different.” You can also read about the new album via this feature which we’ve just posted on the site.
