Paul Dano Will Star as Brian Wilson in New Film

Image from Hollywood Reporter

A biopic on the life on Beach Boys frontman Brian Wilson is in the works. The Hollywood Reporter indicates that Paul Dano will take on the role of Wilson for the film. Love & Mercy reportedly will focus on “Wilson’s fight with mental illness and his relationship with his wife.” Bill Pohlad, who has served as a producer on such movies as Tree of Life and Into the Wild will direct the film. Dano, who is best known for his work in such films as Little Miss Sunshine, Looper and There Will Be Blood also is a musician, with experience as lead guitarist and vocalist in the group Mook.
