The Return of Billy Gibbons and The Moving Sidewalks

Before he co-founded ZZ Top, guitarist Billy Gibbons performed in a Houston-based psychedelic blues band called the Moving Sidewalks. That group released one album, 1969’s Flash, along with a number of singles. The band has just announced that they will return to the stage together for the first time in 44 years. The show will take place in New York City at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill on March 30. The Moving Sidewalks, who also feature bass player Don Summers, keyboardist Tom Moore and drummer Dan Mitchell, have remained friends over the years and rehearsed in the Lone Star State last week. No additional shows have been announced but certainly seem to be a possibility.
