Medeski, Martin & Wood Set for Weeklong Blue Note Residency

Medeski Martin & Wood have announced a week-long residency at the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City in December. Taking place December 11-16, each night will feature two shows by the band as well as guest appearances by a a stellar lineup of musicians including Wilco guitarist Nels Cline (Dec. 12), guitarist Marc Ribot (Dec. 13), and saxophonist Bill Evans (Dec. 14). Tickets to the events, which will be $30 for the bar and $40 for a table, can be purchased here. The shows will begin at 8PM and 10:30PM each night. Last year marked the band’s 20th anniversary for the trio, which Relix honored with an expansive oral history. You can listen to “Doppler” from their latest album Free Magic below.
