Searching for Jerry Photos

Jerry Garcia, circa 1971. Photo Henry Diltz

The Jerry Garcia estate is ramping up activity, with new releases in the works for the coming months. To this end, they are now putting out a call to fans for Garcia images. The offiical request states as follows: “Help us flashback to the 80’s and fill Jerry’s mailbox with your photos! Be it an encounter with Jerry at a restaurant, or your shots from a classic Garcia Band show, we’re looking for images of Jerry off and on the stage from those glorious 80’s. Photos will be shared on our Facebook page and website for all to enjoy, so please only send your own photos. Help us stuff Jerry’s mailbox with photos by emailing JerryGarciaArchive@gmail.com!”

To put you in the mood for a photo search, why not check out this Garcia interview which appeared in a 1989 issue of Relix, this article from 1995 or this piece which we ran in 2008
