Mumford & Sons and Friends Cover Springsteen, Dylan, The Stanley Brothers
Mumford & Sons appear on the current cover of Relix in a feature that explores the current state of the band and their latest album Babel. One of the group’s traits is an enthusiasm for collaboration with other artists. This can be heard during a Daytrotter Session recorded in August during a Gentlemen of the Road stopover in Dixon, IL. Abigail Washburn as well as Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith and Nathaniel Rateliff are among the guests for these eight songs. In addition to Mumford originals, the musicians cover Bruce Springsteen, The Stanley Brothers, Guy Clark, Roger Miller and Bob Dylan, all of which can be heard right here (even if one is not a Daytrotter member a 14 day free trial is available).
