The Meters, Rush, Albert King Among Rock Hall Nominees (and You Can Vote)

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has announced the nominees for 2013 induction. Recent Relix cover artist The Meters have received a long-overdue nod on a slate that also includes: Rush, Albert King, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Chic, Deep Purple, Heart, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Kraftwerk, The Marvelettes, Randy Newman, N.W.A., Procol Harum, Public Enemy and Donna Summer.

One new element this year is the fan vote. As the Rock Hall explains, “For the first time in its history, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will offer fans the opportunity to officially participate in the induction selection process. Beginning on Thursday, October 4 and continuing through December 5, the public can cast votes for who they believe to be most deserving of induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The top five artists, as selected by the public, will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2013 inductees.” Click here to vote for your favorite.

Did you see the CEO in congress today fiialng to answer questions, I don’t know ? He should be locked up to improve his recall. I think they are waiting for the gusher to stop on it’s own. The response is totally inadequate. Each remedy has been tried as delayed serial attempts when parallel efforts should have been designed implemented. If they don’t have the technology to stop one of these leaks, they shouldn’t be drilling these depths.
