Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas

Relix/Jambands.com publisher Peter Shapiro’s next project is Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas. The 2,000-person performance space and bowling alley will open at Las Vegas’ Linq in 2014. Blue Ribbon—who provide food at the Bowl’s flagship New York location—will run the venue’s restaurant. Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas will be a two-floor space featuring 32 bowling lanes. The Linq describes itself as the following:

Caesars Entertainment is redefining the iconic Las Vegas skyline with The LINQ, a $550 million retail, dining and entertainment district, anchored by the world’s tallest observation wheel, known as the High Roller. Located at the heart of the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, the LINQ will span more than 200,000-square-feet of gross leasable space and feature more than 30 unique retail, dining and entertainment experiences

Shapiro’s venue portfolio also includes New York’s Slipper Room and Brooklyn Bowl, the store/event space The Hoodie Shop and Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre.

Wow. Great in-depth reporting from the Times. I love the part where the mayor woduln’t approve the plan, so they put in a new mayor. Good old fashioned American-style open corruption.
