Neil’s Pill Looking a Little Less Psychedelic

The new cover

The old cover

We’re are very much looking forward to the forthcoming Neil Young & Crazy Horse double album Psychedelic Pill (Neil had us at 27 minute opening track). While as we’ve reported, the release will no doubt fulfill the promise of its title, the album cover is something else. Perhaps feeling that the previously-released cover was a bit too old-school 1960’s psychedelic (or perhaps just wanting to place additional emphasis on the name Neil Young & Crazy Horse), alternative cover art has been revealed. The music itself, produced by Young, John Hanlon and Mark Humphreys, will become available on October 30. The tracklisting appears below.

Psychedelic Pill

Disc One:
1 Driftin’ Back (27:36)
2 Psychedelic Pill (3:26)
3 Ramada Inn (16:49)
4 Born In Ontario (3:49)

Disc Two:
1 Twisted Road (3:28)
2 She’s Always Dancing (8:33)
3 For The Love Of Man (4:13)
4 Walk Like A Giant (16:27)
