Win A Studio Day at Bob Weir’s TRI

Bob Weir’s TRI studios has launched a contest for fans to win a chance to record at the lauded space. An official statement from TRI reads:
Submit your music for a chance to win a day of recording at TRI Studios, a state of the art, world-class video streaming venue and recording facility created by legendary Grateful Dead founding member, and 1994 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, Bob Weir. Contest participants may submit 1-3 tracks to racecontest@tristudios.com by Friday, September 14, 2012. TRI Studios will choose ten top submissions, then allow listeners, viewers and fans to vote for their favorite via our website.
“I was blown away!” says Norah Jones guitarist, Jason Abraham Roberts. “It’s a very interesting concept and I’ve never been in another place where you could feel the sound as you played. TRI is definitely a one-of-a-kind studio and it was such an honor to get to spend time there!”
“This is going to be big fun, both for us and for whoever wins,” says Weir. “It’s going to be an ongoing project, and we’ll just see where it takes us.”
In partnership with Telefunken, the winners(s) will also receive two M80 microphones from Telefunken – the mics we LOVE to use at TRI for all of our recording sessions. Day of recording includes: recording/mixing one track of their choice, pro-tools, final cut session with a short HD video captured during the recording session. TRI is not responsible for any travel expenses.
