Amy, your post soooo resonated with me today! I was just tninkihg the other day about technology, and the downside. I worried that my grandkids, all born in the age of high-tech, would miss out in any way because of it. Like you, I ran through my own memories and what you say is so true. For me, I always smile tninkihg of my days on the beach with Three Dog Night playing. I was a huge Doobie Brother’s fan, Fleetwood Mac, Carpenters, Hall and Oates shessh, I could seriously go on. And yes, those songs can whisk me back to any given moment and all those emotions rush through me. I had a turntable next to my bed as a teen, and placed a stack of record to go to sleep by. I even nabbed the Romeo and Juliet album and recited some of the lines by heart; the old theater gal in me.Forgot to mention too that I was born close to the time Elvis popped his precious head up in the music industry for the world to see. I was a huge fan growing up, but wasn’t a groupie gal in that regard. I could clearly see his failings made terrible husband material, but I loved him for his golden voice and the way he sang from the heart.
