A Look at the Dead’s Archives at Phil’s New Venue

Phil Lesh’s San Rafael, CA venue Terrapin Crossroads will host a special Storytellers session this evening, June 6. Event host and veteran photographer Jay Blakesberg will sit down with longtime Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux and discuss the “history of the vault” and other assorted Grateful Dead topics. The discussion is slated to start at 6:30 pm. Space is limited and reservations are required. Please call 415.524.2773 to hold your spot.

Lesh hosted the first Terrapin Crossroads – Storytellers session at the venue in late May. The evening focused on “Grateful Dead music as repertoire” and featured special guest and Furthur guitarist John Kadlecik. Lesh will host his next West Coast Ramble at the club on June 15.

It’s great when your senses fill up with the disere to make work. I love your description of the audience – and I suspect the security folks were more concerned with liabilities concerned with sudden death by knife or falling from balcony rather than slow death by drugs.Good luck with the sanding. I find that drear chores like that go better while listening to music with a strong beat through headphones.
