Hands on a Hardbody Is Headed to Broadway, Trey Anastasio To Release New Solo Album

Hands on a Hardbody, the musical Trey Anastasio recently helped score alongside Amanda Green, will make the move to Broadway for the 2012-2013 season. The musical opened Saturday, May 12 at the La Jolla Playhouse in La Jolla, CA and will run there through June 17. For more on the project, read the recent interview with Green on Jambands.com.
According to reports, Anastasio will also release his new album in the fall. As previously reported, Anastasio was in the studio earlier this year working alongside noted producer Peter Katis (The National/Mates of State, Interpol) on a new album. The album is also said to feature members of The National, Mates of State, yMusic and members of Anastasio’s solo band including Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman.
