Relix Editor Defends Your Right to Dance

Anticipating the upcoming summer concert season, WNYC’s Soundcheck hosted a debate yesterday about dancing at live music events. Representing freedom of physical expression was Relix executive editor Dean Budnick. He jousted a bit with Steve Jacobs, from The Jukebox (a comedy and karaoke series that takes place at Brooklyn’s Union Hall), outlining a Concertgoer’s Constitution, sharing some concert memories and acknowledging his own limited range of moves. The founder of the People Dancing at Concerts blog also appeared on the program, which can be heard above.
