My Morning Jacket Will Tour North America in August

My Morning Jacket have confirmed a series of August dates. The outing will kick off with a two-night run at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks on August 3 and 4 where the band will record both their performances and offer them to ticket holders as a complimentary download. Band of Horses, who recently supported the group at New York’s Madison Square Garden in December, will open most of MMJ’s upcoming shows. Trombone Shorty, Trampled By Turtles and Shabazz Palaces will also open select dates. On most dates, $1 from each ticket will be donated a local charity as well.
