Dylan Fest 2012 Confirms Lineup

New York’s Irving Plaza will host Dylan Fest 2012 on May 24 and 25. Billed as ‘A Night to Get Drunk and Celebrate Bob Dylan’s 71st Birthday,’ the evenings will find a diverse mix of musicians performing Dylan’s music, including Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith (Dawes), Cory Chisel, Nicole Atkins, Adam Green, Boz Scaggs, Fabrizio Moretti (the Strokes), Ryan Miller (Guster), Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte and Matt Vasquez (Delta Spirit). The Cabin Down Below House Band, an assortment of Lower East Side New York musicians, will back the various performers.
Other musicians slated to perform include: Christopher Chu (POP ETC), Jody Porter (Fountains of Wayne), Petter Erickson Stakee (Alberta Cross), Tyson Ritter (All American Rejects), Sammy James, Jr. (the Mooney Suzuki), Ben Trokan (Robbers on High Street), The Tangiers Blues Band, Jack Dishel (Only Son), Steve Schiltz (Longwave), Tracy Bonham, Jamie Burke, Mikki James and actor Justin Long. In addition, this year’s show will feature a special tribute to Levon Helm. A portion of the show’s proceeds will benefit Amnesty International.
