Roger Waters Jams with G.E. Smith

On April 27, Roger Waters returns to the road with his The Wall Live tour. The guitarist on these dates is G.E. Smith (Saturday Night Live, Bob Dylan). Waters has just posted a video to his Facebook page of himself jamming with Smith. Here is what Waters has to say about it:

In January, just before we went to Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and Brazil, I wanted to play a bit, to get the fingers moving, so I asked G.E. to come to Breathe Editing where we were working, to hang and play. We played some stuff from the Wall which was cool, but also, at the end, we just jammed around a little bluesy thing in E. Andy Jennison, my editor captured a little bit on his iPad. I sort of like it. I sometimes forget what a privilege it is to to play with the guys in my band.
Love,
Roger

I just now wanted to thank you yet again for the amaizng website you have produced here. It truly is full of useful tips for those who are definitely interested in this subject, specifically this very post. You really are all actually sweet plus thoughtful of others and reading your blog posts is an excellent delight with me. And what generous surprise! Jeff and I will certainly have pleasure making use of your ideas in what we should instead do in a few days. Our list is a distance long which means that your tips might be put to excellent use.

Bah. I SO want to go. However, I may or may not have mentioned that my futrue mother-in-law will be in town and there’s no way that we can:a) go and have a good time without her finding out that it’s a group of bloggers (well, frankly, there’s no way she can go and we’ll have a good time period, but the blogging part seems an important detail)b) convince her to stay home on Lundi Gras (we have to be some place on Sunday, but are currently free on Monday) or go by herself.c) come up with a convincing excuse for me to walk all that way by myself.I’m so ridiculously bummed.

Note: It may take a moment for your post to appear
