Mike Gordon Shares "Sideways"
As we reported last week, Mike Gordon has just released a new compilation entitled Steamroller Wheelies: A Restoration Convoy. The recording features collaborations between the Phish bassist and an all-star lineup of guest musicians, including: Page McConnell, Jon Fishman, Marco Benevento, Joe Russo, Chris Thile, Little Feat, Danny Barnes, Russell Batiste, Fonzworth Bentley, Scott Murawski and Oteil Burbridge.
Gordon has just offered a free MP3 download of “Sideways” from the release. This track also features Marco Benevento and Joe Russo. All proceeds from Steamroller Wheelies will go toward the Vermont flood recovery efforts, following the devastation that occurred in the wake of Hurricane Irene in 2011.
