Relix Live Fridays: Strangefolk at The Capitol Theatre

On Wednesday night, the original Strangefolk quartet will take the stage at Brooklyn Bowl to open their reunion tour. As the band members have explained, their return was facilitated by Brooklyn Bowl owner and Relix publisher Pete Shapiro, who originally discussed the possibility of the group playing at his soon to be reopened Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. With a nod to Shapiro, the group has just released the recording from their December 27, 1998 show at the Capitol Theatre. Portions of the release can be heard right here on Relix.com, as part of our Relix Live Fridays series while the complete show is available for purchase online and next week at the shows.
