Strangefolk to Reunite with Original Lineup

The original members of Strangefolk have announced a pair of reunion shows to take place March, 30 at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT and March 31 at the State Theater in Portland, ME. The shows will feature founding members Reid Genauer, Jon Trafton, Erik Glockler, and Luke Smith, who last shared the stage as a group in September of 2000. A statement from Strangefolk guitarist Jon Trafton reads:

“We’ve been talking about doing something like this for years. It’s really a thrill to announce these shows and be working together toward a common goal again. It’s been great to reconnect with each other. Playing Higher Ground and The State feels like coming home.”

These two shows are the only confirmed dates as of now, however, we expect more to appear in the near future. As frontman Reid Genauer tells us:

“The idea came to us after talking with [Relix Publisher] Pete Shapiro about re-opening the Capitol Theater in Portchester NY. He sort of deserves credit for bringing us all together and bringing this to life. Hopefully we will visit the Capitol Theater sooner than later.”
