Van Halen Plays Intimate NYC Gig, Announces Tour Dates

Last night, the members of Van Halen performed for the first time in four years at New York City’s Cafe Wha? With a crowd largely made up of journalists and media personnel, the band reunited to promote their upcoming tour with singer David Lee Roth as well as their first album since 1998, A Different Kind of Truth, which drops on February 7. In the small West Village club, Van Halen ran through classic numbers “Everybody Wants Some!!,” “Dance The Night Away,” “Hot For Teacher,” “Ice Cream Man,” “Panama,” “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘bout Love” and “Jump,” as well as one of the songs off new album, titled “She’s The Woman.” As Rolling Stone points out, the new song is actually a recycled demo from 1976 that has circulated among fans for years. While the single off the new album, “Tattoo,” was not performed, the song will be released next week on January 10 when the album is made available for pre-order. Tickets for the shows go on sale January 14.

I must show some thanks to you for risuceng me from this circumstance. Right after browsing through the internet and meeting recommendations that were not helpful, I thought my entire life was well over. Existing without the presence of solutions to the problems you’ve solved all through your main website is a critical case, as well as the ones that might have in a wrong way affected my career if I had not come across your web page. Your own understanding and kindness in touching the whole thing was useful. I’m not sure what I would’ve done if I had not discovered such a point like this. I can at this point look ahead to my future. Thank you very much for this specialized and result oriented guide. I will not hesitate to recommend your web page to anyone who needs counselling on this situation.
