The Allman Brothers Will Celebrate The Year of the Peach at the Beacon

The Allman Brothers Band has confirmed their annual run at New York’s Beacon Theater. This year the group will perform 10 shows in March. The group’s confirmed Beacon dates are March 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 20, 21, 24 and 25. There is always the possibility the band adds some extra shows if these dates sell out. The iconic group—who will receive a Lifetime Achievement Grammy in February—have dubbed 2012 the Year of the Peach in celebration of their 1972 release Eat a Peach. Since the Brothers played the album in its entirety in November, we’re pretty confident they will recreate the classic album at the Beacon as well.

Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday, January 6. The Brothers returned to the Beacon last year after a year uptown at New York’s United Palace Theatre. ABB guitarist Warren Haynes recently played the venue with Gov’t Mule over New Year’s Eve.
