Allman Brothers Band To Release 40th Anniversary Beacon Run, New ABB Imprints Created

The Allman Brothers Band have signed an agreement with Entertainment One Music to market two signature band-owned labels: Peach Records for the sales of its previous Sanctuary label releases and new live recordings of the current band as well as the Allman Brothers Band Recording Company for the release of archival recordings featuring the late group’s original lineup. The first re-releases as part of the deal include the band’s live S.U.N.Y. At Stonybrook, NY 9/19/1971, the out of print 2003 studio release Hittin’ The Note, the Live At The Beacon Theatre DVD and the live album One Way Out.

The Allman Brothers Band also plans to release their 40th anniversary show from New York’s Beacon Theatre in 2012 next year. On March 26, 2009 the group performed each of their first two albums in their entirety: the self-titled 1969 debut (including iconic live staples “Dreams” and “Whipping Post”) and their 1970 album Idlewild South (which features “Revival,” “Midnight Rider” and “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed”).

The Allman Brothers Band will kick off a short series of dates at Upper Darby, PA’s Tower Theatre on November 25.
