Highways Cleared, moe.down Good To Go

One of the many areas affected by Hurricane Irene was Upstate/Central New York. Due to the hurricane, sections of I-90—which runs through the area—were closed and traffic was re-routed in one direction. Judging by chatter on moe.’s message boards, many fans were worried that I-90’s closure would force the group to postpone their annual moe.down festival. As of this morning, NYS Thruway I-90 is now open in both directions, and the festival will take place as planned.
moe.down will return to Mohawk, NY from September 2-4. In addition to moe., the festival will feature Ween, TV on the Radio, Levon Helm Band with special guest Bob Weir, Slightly Stoopid, Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, Railroad Earth, Ozomatli, The New Mastersounds, The Brew, Empire Sound and many others.
