Kenny Chesney Joins Grace Potter and The Nocturnals in Burlington
Over the weekend, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals headlined the inaugural Grand Point North Festival in Burlington, Vermont. The group took an active role in the event, helping to select the acts and also assisting with the design of the festival environment. Grand Point North closed out on Saturday with a climatic final set from the host band, which opened with “Stop the Bus” and also included versions of “Elvis Presley Blues,” “Pain in My Heart,” “Nothing But The Water” and “Medicine.” When the group then returned for an encore, Kenny Chesney joined in as well. Chesney, who had headlined a stadium gig the previous night at the Meadowlands, stepped out for “You & Tequila,” his single which also features Potter. He then remained for covers of Bad Company’s “Feel Like Making Love” and Tom Petty’s “Feel Fallin’.”
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals return to the road on Saturday in Boston.
