The Weezer Cruise Enlists Dino Jr., Sebadoh, Gene Ween and Wavves
Weezer has announced their first ever “Weezer Cruise.” The ship will set off from Miami on the Carnival Destiny on January 19-23, and will sail across the ocean to the island of Cozumel, which is off the coast of Mexico. In addition to numerous performances by Weezer, the cruise will also feature shows by Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh, Gene Ween and Dave Dreiwitz, Wavves, The Antlers, Yuck, Free Energy, Boom Bip, J. Mascis, Lou Barlow, Keepaway, Ozma, The Nervous Wreckords, The Knocks, Sleeper Agent and Yacht Rock Review.
The shows will run throughout the day and night, and Weezer will kick off the festivities with an exclusive performance on the pool deck as the ship pulls out from the dock. In addition to the concerts there will be games and activities organized by the band, as well as bingo, access to the ships pool, and 24-hour room service. Prices start at $799 per person for double cabins, or four people can room together for $599 per person. Fans can sign up for the pre-sale here.
