Back to the Beacon for Charity with the Allman Brothers Band

One year ago Gregg Allman received a liver transplant, to assist his recovery from a chronic hepatitis C infection. As a result he is taking this moment to announce a special benefit concert set for July 27 at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. That night is the eve of World Hepatitis Day and Allman will raise awareness as well as proceeds through a performance by the Allman Brothers Band. The group returned to the Beacon after a year’s absence this past March and has only performed two other gigs in 2011, both of which took place at the Wanee Festival. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, June 22 at 12:00 PM EDT.

Sarah and Thomas, y’all outdid yovslerues! We look like we stepped into Lothlorien, the woods of elves, with all the golden light, flowers and beautiful trees. My favorites are the brick arch picture with the fig vine and Kort looking at me, the Bacchus-head ring picture, and the rocking chair picture. Well done!
