Rex to Release The Wheel -A Musical Celebration of Jerry Garcia

Rex Foundation hosted a benefit at San Francisco’s Fillmore Auditorium on December 4, 2010. The show featured a mixture of Jerry Garcia’s contemporaries and younger jamband musicians, including Peter Rowan, David Nelson, Garrett McReynolds, Steve Thomas, Jody Stecher, Keith Little, Paul Knight, Barry Sless, Robin Sylvester, John Molo, Mookie Siegel and Matt Butler. In addition, Garcia hero Jesse McReynolds performed several selections from his new album Songs of the Grateful Dead – A Tribute to Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter.
The show was a success and now the Rex Foundation will release a highlights collection on March 29 on both CD and as a download. Proceeds from The Wheel – A Musical Celebration of Jerry Garcia will benefit the Rex Foundation.
