Electric Forest: SCI, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Edward Sharpe and More

The String Cheese Incident, Tiësto, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights,
REO Speedwagon, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Stephen Marley and Kaskade are among the acts scheduled to appear at the first Electric Forest festival. Produced by Madison House and Insomniac Events, Electric Forest will take place on the site of the Rothbury festival from June 30-July 3, 2011. The Rothbury, MI-based festival will feature a mix of jam and electronic musicians, including Shpongle presents The Shpongletron Experience, Railroad Earth, Laidback Luke, JJ Grey & Mofro, Excision The New Deal, EOTO, Emmitt-Nershi Band, Skrillex, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Toubab Krewe, Bonobo (DJ Set), Beats Antique, Big Gigantic, Chiddy Bang, Eskmo, Lettuce,
Eliot Lipp, Paper Diamond, The Infamous Stringdusters, The Pimps of Joytime, Rubblebucket, Archnemesis, Emancipator, Break Science and The Macpodz.

The String Cheese Incident will perform three shows during Electric Forest, while the Midwest rock band REO Speedwagon will perform its “1st annual Saturday afternoon special.” The festival will also feature several of the Rothbury festival’s attractions, including the enchanted The Sherwood Forest. In addition, Electric Forest will offer access to the The Gold Rush Water Park, the Thoroughbred Golf Club, Big Wildcat Lake and horseback riding opportunities.

A variety of camping and cabin lodging options will also be made available.
