Phish Summer Tour 2011

Phish has confirmed the first leg of its summer tour with the initial ticket request period now underway. One new development this summer is that the band will offer two tiers of ticket pricing with reserved seats costing $60 and general admission lawn seats costing $45 for every date except the final confirmed show at the Ntelos Pavilion at Harbor Center in Portsmouth, VA where all tickets are general admission and will cost $60. It is expected that the group will follow up this string of dates with its own northeast festival event in July before heading out west later in the summer.
The tour opens with three nights at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY over Memorial Day weekend and also includes multiple show runs at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ (May 31 and June 1), Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD (June 11 and 12) and Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in Alpharetta, GA (June 14 and 15). Phish has not performed in Holmdel since the summer of 2000, and the band has never performed at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, a venue located on the site of the original Woodstock.
Phish affirms that, “Additional summer announcements will be coming,” but notes that “Following the summer, the band has no touring plans for the remainder of the year.”
