More Shows, Heady Nuggs for The Lips

This year’s Record Store Day (April 16, 2011) will see a special collection from The Flaming Lips. Heady Nuggs: The First 5 Warner Bros. Records 1992 – 2002 will consist of the complete recordings of: Hit To Death In The Future Head, Transmissions From The Satellite Heart, Clouds Taste Metallic, The Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots. They will be released in a “Standard” Record Store Day Edition which features all 5 discs pressed on black 140 gram vinyl and a “Special Limited Edition” featuring all 5 discs pressed on 5 different colors of colored vinyl available only through the Lips’ website.

The group has confirmed a number of upcoming tour dates, including a few shows where the group will perform The Soft Bulletin in its entirety.
