Hangout Beach, Music & Arts Festival Retuns with Panic, Primus, Paul Simon

The Hangout Beach, Music & Arts Festival will return to Gulf Shores, AL on May 20-22. The second installment of the festival will build on last year’s momentum, with Widespread Panic, Paul Simon, Foo Fighters, My Morning Jacket, The Black Keys, Flaming Lips, Cee Lo Green, Primus, Umphrey’s McGee, Slightly Stoopid, Drive-By Truckers, Amos Lee, Old Crow Medicine Show, G. Love & Special Sauce and Medeski, Martin & Wood are among the new acts set to appear in 2011. Hangout veterans returning to the stages located directly on the beach include: Michael Franti & Spearhead, Matisyahu. Keller Williams and Girl Talk, while Warren Haynes , who performed with Gov’t Mule in 2010 will bring the Warren Haynes Band to Hangout in 2011. This year the fest is adding a fifth stage under an air-conditioned tent and also is offering, “Hammock Beach, a replenishing salt-water lagoon where music fans will find shade, hammocks, and art installations.” A limited quantity of festival tickets will be available for $159 starting Wednesday, February 2 at 9 am CST.
