Coachella 2011 Confirms Lineup

Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon and Kanye West will co-headline Coachella 2011. As previously reported, the 12th annual event will return to Indio, CA from April 15-17. Arcade Fire and Kings of Leon both performed at Coachella as support acts and will return as official headliners for the first time. Coachella will also host the recently reactivated Strokes as well as the fourth appearance by Black Keys (only a handful of groups have performed at Coachella more than four times). Continuing the festival’s tradition of reuniting bands, Coachella will also boast a reunion set by dance-punk band Death From Above 1979, Jesse F. Keeler’s project before forming MSTRKRFT.
Other bands scheduled to perform include: Animal Collective, Bright Eyes, Lauryn Hill, Gogol Bordello, Fistful of Mercy, Shpongle, The National, Interpol, Nas & Damian Marley, Mumford & Songs, Broken Social Scene, Ozomatli, The Chemical Brothers, Chromeo, The Felice Brothers, .fun, Trampled by Turtles and Black Joe Lewis, among many others.
Like recent years, Coachella will offer an onsite campground featuring a Farmer’s Market, a 24-hour general store, a roller skating rink and free shuttle service to a local grocery store. The festival has also partnered with The Creators Project—a global initiative that supports leading and emerging artists—to collaborate with select headlining acts to curate a series of art installations on the grounds.
