Widespread Panic will officially kick off its 25th anniversary this February. The group—which formed at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA—will return to its college town for performances at the Classic Center on February 10 and 11. The Classic Center is located on the former site of The Mad Hatter Ballroom, the venue where Panic played its first official show on February 6, 1986. These shows will be the band’s first in Athens since 2007.

Widespread Panic will also perform at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre on February 14. The group has not performed at the Fox since 2006.

Tickets for the Athens shows will go on sale on January 8 at 9am EST at the Classic Center box office, via phone at 706.357.4444 or www.classiccenter.com. Tickets for the Atlanta Valentine’s Day show will go on sale on January 8th at 10am EST at all Ticketmaster locations.
