Hear The Decemberists Cover the Grateful Dead
The Decemberists - Row Jimmy (Grateful Dead cover) by jp917As previously reported, The Decemberists has embraced its love of the Grateful Dead with its new 7”. The b-side to the group’s new 7’ single “January Hymn” is a studio cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Row Jimmy.” The group’s cover of “Row Jimmy” has already surfaced on the internet and can be found above.
Several members of The Decemberists have deep roots in the jamband scene. Founding members Jenny Conlee and Nate Query both played in the ‘90s jamband Calobo, and Conlee will sit in with Jerry Joseph on New Year’s Eve. Please click here for more on the group’s secret jamband roots.
