Dispatch 2011: Clues and Countdowns

An image “clue”
Dispatch is counting down to a major announcement on its Facebook page. The jam-pop group recently changed its homepage to include the words Dispatch 2011 and a clock counting down to January 1. In addition, the band has updated its Facebook page to include a series of images that contain some clues about the band’s heavily rumored reunion (if you use a Android barcode scanner the image will take you to Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks). The band’s 2007 reunion shows took place at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Meanwhile, two of Dispatch’s three members will share the stage at Boston’s House of Blues on December 10. Dispatch’s Brad Corrigan (drums/guitar) is among the latest additions to a Calling All Crows’ Benefit Show at the venue organized by Dispatch/State Radio’s Chad Stokes (guitar/bass). Though they have performed together a few times in the last six years, the rift between Stokes and Corrigan was the greatest of the three band members at the time of their split.
In addition to Stokes and Corrigan, other acts scheduled to appear at the benefit include: singer/songwriter Erin Coughlin, Matt Embree (Rx Bandits) and Lauren Colema (Pebaluna), as well as Stokes’ independent Ruff Shod Records labelmates Bonnie Paine (Elephant Revival) and The White Buffalo.
Stokes will perform music from both his State Radio and Dispatch catalogs. He also plans to debut songs off his upcoming solo record, due out in early 2011.
