The McLovins Record with Tom Marshall
The Connecticut teenagers in The McLovins first scored national attention after posting their tasty cover of “You Enjoy Myself” on YouTube. The clip was picked up by the message board Phantasy Tour and later caught the attention of several members of the Phish family. Trey Anastasio even pointed out some places the band could improve its cover of “YEM.” After taking at some gigs, the band recently co-wrote a song with Phish lyricist Tom Marshall called “Cohesive.” Marshall, former Spin Doctors member Anthony Krizan and The McLovins recently entered the studio to record the track, which is now available online.
Highlights from The McLovins’ recording sessions with Marshall and Krizan can be found on Relix.com. Look for an interview with Marshall on Jambands.com later today.
