The musical cast of the popular kids show Yo Gabba Gabba! played five shows at New York’s Radio City Music Hall this weekend. While the Super Music Friends for most shows on the tour were announced in advance, Radio City’s guest stars remained a secret until show time. Saturday’s Super Music Friends ended up including Urge Overkill and Steel Train, who canceled another show to play “It’s Fun to Dance,” a song the band wrote for Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Sunday’s Super Music Friends were equally as eclectic: Moby, Soulive and Shooter Jennings. For its Gabba appearance, Soulive played “Eleanor Rigby” from its new album of Beatles covers. Several other celebrities appeared on the Gabba stage throughout the weekend, including Jennings’ partner, Sopranos star Drea de Matteo, Saturday Night Live regular Taran Killam, Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford and Roots guitarist Captain Kirk Douglas.
