7 Walkers to Release New Disc in November

Papa Mali by Jeffrey Dupuis
7 Walkers, the band led by Papa Mali and Bill Kreutzmann, will release its self-titled debut on November 2 via Response Records. In addition, 7 Walkers features George Porter Jr. and multi-instrumentalist Matt Hubbard. The album is a tribute to New Orleans, featuring new songs written by Papa Mali/Grateful Dead scribe Robert Hunter. Hubbard’s collaborator Willie Nelson also appears on “King Cotton Blues” and former 7 Walkers member Reed Mathis contributes to the project.
