Townshend, Costello and Toussaint, Byrne and Reed in New Photo Book

Kevin Yatarola has served as the house photographer at Joe’s Pub for more than five years. His tenure at the New York City venue is reflected in his new self-published book of photographs, Images from Joe’s Pub 2004 – 2010. Leonard Cohen, Pete Townshend, David Byrne, Elvis Costello, Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, Carly Simon and Toshi Reagon are among the performers who appear in the book. Yatarola also has served as photographer for the Bonnaroo Beacon over the past few years. A preview of the book can be found here.

Acclaimed photographer Pamela Littky directed this short film, which shares the story of Howlin Rain. Rick Rubin produced the group’s next album, The Russian Wilds, which is set for a February 12 release.
